For me this sums up my childhood memories of Christmas. The warmth of Christmas is like no other. Waiting for Christmas to come, the scrunching of snow on an old wooden step, smoke bellowing out of the chimney along with the scents and sounds of the season, are things that are etched in my memory. Simply put, I love Christmas and all it entails. Now with a family of my own, Christmas is even more of a blessing. The excitement as my children wait for Christmas to come, the look in their eyes Christmas morning after Santa’s visit. To me Christmas is about family and friends celebrating the Christ Child’s birth together in a way that echoes onward, adding to the joy of the season for years to come. This is what I set out to capture in this album, the memories we have of Christmas. I can’t express how great it feels to finally be able to share these songs with you. I have wanted to record a Christmas album for so many years and I thank all of those who supported and urged me to pursue this dream. I hope this album invokes fond memories in you and finds you and yours fully embraced in the spirit of the Season.
